Terms of Use

These terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). If these terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls to the extent required by Apple or applicable law.

1. Agreement and provider

These Terms of Use govern your use of the PrivacyMask iOS and iPadOS application and this website. The application provider is Mehmet Cevik (“PrivacyMask,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, purchasing, or using PrivacyMask, you agree to these terms and the Standard EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What PrivacyMask does

PrivacyMask provides tools to detect, review, mask and export potentially sensitive details in photos, screenshots, scans and PDFs. Processing of selected content is designed to occur on your device. The app does not require an account and does not upload your selected photos or documents to PrivacyMask servers.

3. Your responsibility

Automatic detection is an assistant and can miss information, select the wrong area, or produce an imperfect result. You are responsible for reviewing every page and exported copy before sharing it, keeping your source files secure, obtaining any necessary permission to process another person’s information, and complying with applicable privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property and document-use laws. PrivacyMask is not legal, compliance, financial, medical or security advice.

4. Acceptable use

You may use PrivacyMask only for lawful purposes. You may not use the app to violate another person’s rights, conceal fraud, forge or misrepresent documents, bypass security measures, distribute unlawful content, reverse engineer the app except where applicable law permits it, or interfere with the app, StoreKit, or purchase verification.

5. License and ownership

PrivacyMask is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms and the Standard EULA, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control under Apple’s Usage Rules. PrivacyMask and its software, design, trademarks and original content remain owned by the provider or applicable licensors. You retain rights in content you choose to process.

6. Free use and Pro features

We may offer a limited number of free automatic scans or other free features. Limits and included features may change for future use. Pro may unlock higher or unlimited usage, additional masking tools, editable local projects, watermark controls, or other features described in the app at the time of purchase.

7. Purchases, subscription and trial

Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to the App Store’s payment and refund rules. PrivacyMask may offer an annual auto-renewing subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. The exact price and currency shown by the App Store before confirmation control.

If a 3-day free trial is available and you are eligible, the annual subscription begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current subscription period ends. Apple charges your Apple Account and may charge renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account’s App Store subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Trial eligibility and availability are determined by Apple and the offer shown to you.

A lifetime purchase unlocks the supported Pro features for the lifetime of this app and its continued availability; it does not guarantee every future product, separate app, platform, or externally paid service. Use Restore Purchases in Settings with the same Apple Account when needed.

8. Privacy and local data

Our Privacy Policy explains how PrivacyMask handles data. Projects and preferences you choose to keep may be stored locally on your device. You are responsible for device security, backups, exported copies and deletion from Photos, Files, backups or other destinations after export.

9. Availability and changes

We may improve, modify, suspend or discontinue features, free-use limits or compatibility to maintain security, quality, legal compliance or platform support. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Updates may be required to continue using some features.

10. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrivacyMask is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties not expressly required by law, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that every sensitive detail will be found or that an export will satisfy a specific legal, regulatory or organizational standard. Your mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrivacyMask and the provider are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of data, privacy, profits or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the app. Any liability remains subject to the limits and exceptions in Apple’s Standard EULA and applicable consumer law.

12. Termination

You may stop using PrivacyMask at any time. Your license may terminate if you materially breach these terms or the Standard EULA. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers and liability limits—remain effective.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app, business model or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised. Material changes apply prospectively to the extent required by law. Continued use after an update means acceptance where permitted by law.
